What does your nurse think about you bringing your mom or mother-in-law to the delivery room?
“We get weirded out when your creepy uncle is there, but to each their own.”
We don’t care who is in the delivery room or present when you give birth. As long as they are helping the situation and not creating stress for you or interfering with medical processes. If you want them there, you should have them there! It’s your pregnancy, your birth, your baby, your terms. You can even list these guests on your birth plan if you like, just so we are aware of your preferences.
